Therapy and Beyond provides intensive, individual Applied Behavior Analysis therapy founded on evidenced based research. Prior to starting therapy, we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s skills and deficits. After the evaluation, a written report, including formal recommendations, is provided. Our Behavior Analysts then work with you to create an individualized treatment plan focusing on all areas of development including behavior, language, social skills, cognition and self-help.
Your child is assigned a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who oversees your child’s progress along with a team of therapists. We consider parents a vital part of their child’s therapy team. Our goal is to help you become familiar with your child’s program so that you may carry over and implement these lessons in your everyday life.
Parents are considered a vital part of their child’s therapy team. Your child’s success is highly dependent on continuity across all environments, which requires you to become familiar with your child’s program in order to carry over lessons in your everyday life. Parents are required to attend and participate in parent overlaps. Parents receive two hours of direct training per month. Parent overlaps teach the parent management skills of how to continue to teach and generalize taught skills and how to identify skills to teach in the future. These sessions occurs in the home, center, and community settings and involve intensive direction, skill teaching, and feedback.
Therapy and Beyond provides services Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities from birth to 11 years old*. Admission is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Speech services include comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, sensory, and pragmatics to provide individualized therapy in one-on-one settings to meet each child’s needs. Licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) provide therapy for sensory integration dysfunction of the oral motor structures, feeding disorders, social pragmatic language disorders, articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders and auditory processing disorders.
For those families also receiving ABA therapy at our center, co-treatment sessions are available in which both the ABA therapist and the SLP work together simultaneously on your child’s goals. Speech Therapy supplements your child’s existing ABA program by directly working with your child as well as your child’s ABA therapists in the areas of speech and language. Your speech therapist will work very closely with your Program Supervisor in designing treatment goals and teaching procedures.
Services are provided at Therapy and Beyond Therapy Center Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
