“Are you an adolescent or adult having difficulty functioning at work, school, or in relationships?”
With a supportive and open-minded approach, we can discover together how a history of trauma, self defeating and limiting belief systems interfere with our ability to love, work and play.
Major life stressors or changes in personal relationships and career can trigger feelings of hopelessness, helplessness and dissatisfaction.
Changing one’s way of thinking, improving physical well being, creating structure for emotional wellness as well as self definition is necessary to create a life that will be fulfilling and satisfying.
I can help when old ways of adapting to stressors no longer work. We will work together through your transformation. You can learn new ways to tolerate what has been overwhelming and you can develop new, healthier coping skills to help you manage what was formerly intolerable about daily living.
Many of the clients I have worked with include those who are overcoming issues with depression, sadness, weight loss, sexual identity, self identity, childhood trauma, marital conflict, mood disorders, anxiety, stress, fear of intimacy, trust issues, loneliness, anger management, thought disorders, severe emotional disorders of childhood and adolescence, and addiction behaviors like cutting, eating disorders, sexual disorders and substance abuse.
For seven years as a psychotherapist, group facilitator, case manager and behaviorist in acute hospital, group home and private practice settings, I have utilized play therapy with children, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psycho-dynamic, gestalt, narrative, family systems and Rogerian models of therapy. My goal is to use these tools to help you love, work and play again.
I currently take many forms of insurance, work on a sliding scale and currently have an office located in Santa Monica, CA and Torrance, CA.
Taking the first step is often times the hardest. Take a moment to call and I will return your call within 24 hours.
